A: The processing time before your wig ships out is between to 5-7 business days.
This processing time does not include shipping time. AFTER the 5-7 business day processing time, please also allow an additional 4-6 business days for your wig to arrive to you! Please plan to allow a total of up to 12 business days before the wig arrives at your place of residence if you are a US customer. International customers, please allow a total time between 15-25 business days before your wig arrives to you! Shipping and processing time upgrades are available but you must contact FIRST before purchasing.
Q: I need a wig by a certain date. Can you explain the upgrade shipping vs speed processing options?
A: If you find that you must have a unit by a certain date, you MUST purchase a speed processing upgrade. With speed processing your order will move to the first position in the line of orders and you will receive your order in no more than 4 business days. With priority mail upgrade, the processing time stays the same (5-7 business days) but you are opting for a speedier shipping time instead of the standard free, economical shipping. The shipping time is 3-4 business days after the processing time with this upgrade. There are two different rush processing and shipping upgrades available in our shop. There is one for domestic customers (USA) and one for International customers. Please purchase the appropriate one after contacting us!
Q: What are ready to ship units?
A: Ready to ship units are units that are able to ship out today or next business day. The are located in the category labeled "ready to ship."
Q: Who pays customs duties and fees?
A: If you are an international customer, your country may charge VAT and duty fees for items you purchase abroad. Please understand this before purchasing if you are an international customer. We have ZERO control over the amount of fees that your country may charge you for goods imported into your country. If you would like advice about typical VAT fees your country may charge, please visit your local customs' website.
Q: Why doesn't my tracking number show a status update?
A: Orders shipped using free standard shipping will usually be shipped with USPS First class Mail or Fedex home delivery which can take up to 7 business days (not including weekends). If this was used, the package will not be trackable until it arrives in the destination city, upon which it will enter the USPS system and will be trackable then. If you don't see a status update on tracking info and your order was shipped a few days ago, please understand this fact and be ensured that your package is definitely en route to you. If you desire a speedier shipping option and want to track it the minute it goes out for shipment, then you should purchase one of our priority mail upgrades (domestic or international) which is available in our shop.
Q: Do you have human hair wigs?
A: We currently have over thirty human hair wigs of different textures listed in our shop. Please view the human hair category which has a full list of all our 100% human hair units. They are made with either 100% Indian Remy hair, 100% Brazilian Remy, 100% Italian Yaki or 100% Ethiopian Virgin hair. We also have a few blended human hair wigs! However, we actually prefer using our sustainable fibers because they provide the BEST texture for mimicking afro-textured hair. Human hair is usually of Asian descent and the texture is drastically different than afro-textured hair. The premium sustainable fibers that we utilize best mimic the various types of afro-textured hair. We have many different wigs that resemble type 3 and type 4 hair!
Q: What payments do you accept?
A: We accept all major credit cards and debit cards. We have various payment options available on checkout. These include Essence Wigs Credit Card Payments, Google Pay, Amazon Pay and Apple Pay. You may also pay directly on a product's listing page using Google Pay or Apple Pay. If desiring a custom order, you will be required to pay using our preferred offsite processor (Google Pay) when invoiced. All payment options and your checkout are secure and encrypted.
Q: Do you customize and personalize orders?
A: We do customize wigs. Colors are disclosed in the listing. However, if you find that you need a specific color, contact us FIRST before purchasing and we'll let you know if it is possible to create one with the color that you have in mind. Please pay keen attention to all details described in the listing. We provide personal touches to orders. For instance, if you are giving one of our wigs as a gift, we can personalize notes for your recipient. We also have EssenceWigs.com gift certificates for purchase which can be used as cash tender. It is the perfect gift for the wig lover in your life!
Wigs have been created to ensure a custom and comfortable fit on all heads. Mostly all have adjustable straps so that you can adjust the circumference of the cap to your head size. Caps are large enough so that if you do have natural hair, it will be able to fit underneath. In most cases, caps can be customized to a certain size if needed.
