Returns and Refund Policy

The best attempt has been made to accurately describe all items in our store and we stand firmly behind the description details and photos of all items. All items pictured are of the item you will receive. You may even view photos of the unit in our customer gallery. Our units are pre-styled; however, you may need to upkeep the style on your own by following the instruction sheet you received. Some units will require more maintenance than others.  At this time, all sales are final! This policy has been enforced due to the hygienic nature of wigs as well as the timely production process, so please make sure that you actually desire to purchase the unit you want; not simply wear and return. Please view our COVID response as the no return policy is strictly enforced.  Federal law prohibits the return of hair products that have been used and this includes "trying them on" and/or making physical and chemical alterations to products received. We adhere to this strict policy as well as current national health and hygiene regulations.
Our items are unique and handmade and therefore considered to be custom made.  If an item appears to have a defect, it is not and is simply a feature of the production process which requires time and attention to detail. As a result, Essence Wigs does not partake in exchanges or returns. Refunds will not be granted for any reason as our process ensures that the item ordered will always be what is received by you.   Please be sure to read every detail about the item you are purchasing and view all pictures shared in the product page as all sales are FINAL! Be sure to ask any questions that you might have before ordering.  We're glad to have established a reputation for providing excellent customer service and are always honored to help you.

Payment & Order Cancellation

We accept all Major Credit Cards or Debit Cards and you may pay via Essence Card Payment, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Pay in 4 with Afterpay, AmazonPay, Cashapp and Bank Account. We always accept EssenceWigs.com Gift Cards.  Essence Wigs gift cards never expire.  If you wish to cancel an order you placed, please notify us within 2 hours. Cancellations must be done right after the order is placed.  Orders cannot be cancelled if it is more than two hours since the order was placed. If an order is granted cancellation please understand that processing fees cannot be refunded.
Production & Shipping 

The processing time before your wig ships out is between 5-7 business days. NOTE: Business days do not include weekends (Saturday and Sunday) or holidays.

The processing time does not include shipping time. AFTER the 5-7 business day processing time, please also allow between 3-7 business days for your unit to arrive to you! Please plan to allow a total of up to 14 business days before your order arrives at your place of residence if you are a US customer.  In most cases, your package will arrive quicker but please plan to allow for this total time in case it does not. 

International customers please allow a total time between 15-30 business days before your order arrives to you! 

Our cut-off time for shipments is 3 P.M. Eastern Time. Otherwise, packages will go out the next business day. Shipments will be arranged by USPS FIRST CLASS MAIL or FEDEX HOME DELIVERY depending on your package's weight. You'll be sent an email with a tracking number once your package is shipped.

Speed Processing & Shipping Upgrades

There are upgrade shipping and speed processing options available in our store should you require quicker service BUT you must contact us first before purchasing one of these! Upgrade shipping options are for upgrades of shipping (not processing). The processing time of 5 business days stays the same with upgrade shipping. If you need an item by a certain date, you must purchase a speed processing option, if you cannot wait for the 5-7 business day processing time. These options can be found in the category labelled shipping upgrades.

VAT & Taxes

If you are an international customer, you are responsible for paying your country's import and/or custom's fee if there is one. Our store will automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax for orders to be delivered to addresses within the same state where Essence Wigs holds a presence. For orders shipped to other areas, you (the shopper) are solely responsible for any sales taxes and/or other taxes that may apply.

Order Acceptance Policy

Orders generally are accepted once payment is received. Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. Essence Wigs reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason.

Packaging and Green Initiative

Essence Wigs is a Green company since its establishment in 2015. We do our part to protect and care for the environment during business operations. Your item will be shipped to you in a chlorine-free, compostable, recyclable box, made from recycled wood fiber; fuss free packaging! Use of plastic and unnecessary packaging materials contributes to environmental harm and landfill buildup. You will never receive a unit in plastic packaging or bags as this defeats our green initiative. Gone are the days of receiving units in small packages, bags or boxes. We are doing our best to alert other companies about the dangers of doing so! Wigs should never be stored in small packages, bags or boxes as they lessen the amount of time a unit will last and contribute to unnecessary styling time for the customer. We know how important it is for you to receive your unit without needing to do anything to it. This is one of the prime reasons for our fuss free packaging! Our wigs are also too voluminous to fit in these types of wasteful packaging.

We have made a major move in the world of Green! Carbon emissions are offset for every shipment made. Through this action, forests are protected, air quality is improved and wind and solar farms that generate clean energy.

Please review our e-book for more in depth information and tips about wig maintenance and storage. We are extremely knowledgeable about natural hair and have spent a great amount of time creating units with textures that resemble ethnic hair.
